A Place to Belong…
In the high-tech, low-touch culture we live in, many of us are searching for a place to belong. We wrestle with issues of life such as relationships, money,
self-discipline, insecurity and fear as we search for peace and significance in life.
We understand that God created us for relationship with Him and with other people, we were never intended to walk through life alone.
True growth, spiritual and personal, often take place in loving, supportive, grace filled, truthful relationships – like those developed through our small groups.
Our small groups provide the right environment to celebrate our life in Christ together, to cultivate our personal growth in Christ, to care for one another, and
together communicate the Love of Christ to the world around us.
All of our groups fit into three main areas: Connect groups, Focus groups, and Study groups. Although our small groups are divided into three
main sections, there is still quite a variety of groups. If there is something specific you are looking for in a group, the chances are, we have the group you are looking for.
If we don’t have exactly what you are looking for, we will work with you to help create such a group.
CONNECT GROUPS are small groups that place a high importance on relationship with one another, supporting one another, and
challenging one another to grow deeper in their walk with Christ. These groups often find time to study the Bible together, to play together and to serve alongside one another.
Within this area, we have groups that are organized around age, gender, or specific interests.
FOCUS GROUPS maintain many of the same commitments that our connect groups have, yet they are designed for a specific purpose (
are focused for a purpose). One example of our Focus groups would be our 12 step ministry, helping the average person, and those who are greatly struggling, find freedom from
unhealthy patterns in life and find true freedom in Christ. These groups walk through the 12 steps to freedom workbook and last 40 weeks long. We have other groups along this line,
where they have a specific focus.
STUDY GROUPS are more like the traditional Bible Studies, where participants would read, study,
and do their homework before coming together to discuss and study specific passages of scripture. Each of these groups have a specific curriculum they go through and faithfully
gather to study God’s word.
If you are looking for something more like the traditional Sunday School class, you should look at our Life Development section.
Our Life Development classes are designed to be 6 weeks long and are taught by various people in Park Meadows. They are more like a classroom setting and are offered in a
trimester format with one running in the fall, one in the winter, and one in the spring.
