PLANNING A VISIT

When you come on a Sunday morning, you will experience a vibrant and uplifting worship service, be encouraged through practical and applicable message, and meet many great people that are a part of the Park Meadows family. We believe in a culture at Park Meadows of being an emotionally safe place where people are loved, taught Biblical truth, and encouraged so that there can be an ongoing noticeable Godlike change in their lives. We have two services each Sunday morning that are exactly the same. One at 9:15 AM and the second at 11AM. Come a little early or stay around after and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea while you get a chance to meet someone new or visit with new found friends.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Children

For our youngest children, Infants and Toddlers, we have a great team of volunteers ready to take care of your little ones during the service. Those who are from 0 to 2 years will be cared for by our Nursery volunteers while those ages 2 and 3 will be taken care of in our Tot-zone. For the safety of your children, we will prepare a picture name tag for you and your children. This will ensure that the children are picked up by the right parents. For more specific information for Nursery care - click here.

Sunday School and Kids Church Programs run from September to June matching the school year for those children ages 4 through grade 5. Sunday School runs during the 9:15 AM service. When you arrive, ask at the information desk to show you where the age appropriate classes are located in our lower level so that you may drop them off before the service begins. You will pick your child up at the same classroom that you drop them off at. Kids Church runs during our 11AM service. Children should be dropped off at the gym where they will spend time together before breaking up into age appropriate groups for a lesson. You may pick your children up in the lower level at their age appropriate classroom after the main service is over.

Worship Service
Worship will be lead by one of our worship teams in a safe environment to learn the songs if you don’t already know them. Scriptures will be read by various leaders and there will be different times of prayer. The message will be delivered in a manor that is easy to apply to life regularly by Lead Pastor Barry Seifert. In any given week there may be dramas, special events, or special music as a part of the service. We strive to keep a safe place where you can connect with God, grow in your relationship with Him and others, and find fulfillment in worship God.

Attire
Come as you are, in clothing you would be most comfortable in. You will see people dressed in everything from shorts and t-shirts to full suits. We desire to have an environment that is comfortable and appropriate where we can come before God in worship and praise.

Questions
Our friendly volunteers at our information desk would be happy to answer any of your questions. You will also find printed material on all the activities and groups we have running out of Park Meadows. We would also like to give you a welcome gift with fun and helpful resources, just stop by the information desk, tell them you are new, and they would love to welcome you with one of these gifts. The information desk is also the place to get connected into the various groups and activities, when in doubt about anything ask the helpful people at the information desk. If they don’t know, they will find the answer for you.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

Baptists, since their beginnings, repeatedly have composed confessions which expressed the doctrinal consensus among related churches. In principle, however, Baptist always have insisted that no statement of faith can be considered creedally binding even upon concurring congregations. The purpose of their doctrinal summaries was to explain to other Christians and to the larger society what Baptists believed and practiced. Within and among Baptist churches, statements of faith also provided a standard for instruction, counsel and fellowship. Read more »

HISTORY OF PARK MEADOWS BASTIST CHURCH

Park Meadows Baptist Church began with a need and a vision. As one couple and a small group of young people prayed, God gave them a vision for a new outreach in the community. After sharing their dream with the Area Secretary, a young Pastor named Bruce Merrifield accepted the challenge to start a Church extension work in Lethbridge.  Read more »
